The Management Committee of the Village Hall met on the 20th of August 2008.

Having considered various representations made within the village, it was decided to call an Extraordinary General Meeting on the 10th September and invite eligible residents to put their names forward to stand as Trustees.  The meeting on the 10th will be an open meeting and residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to (if necessary) elect new Trustees.  As four current trustees are resigning (leaving two in post) there is the possibility of up to eight new Trustees joining the Committee.  Sandra has the application forms and interested individuals should acquire and complete an application form from her.  Notices are being placed around the village

advising people of these developments.

The Management Committee elected a new Chairman – Dr Martin Hamer (who is Vice-Chairman of the Parish Council, Treasurer/Secretary of BEAM and a Governor of the Primary School) - to see through the transitional period.

The Management Committee expressed its thanks and gratitude to the four Trustees who are leaving the Committee and agreed that those remaining would work with new incoming Trustees to seek to secure the future of the Village Hall.

Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned!

23rd August 2008: I will be making some ‘construction’ alterations to the website over the next few weeks/months. Apart from cosmetic changes, you probably won’t notice these (I hope!). If you find a broken link, something that does not work properly or an item that has suddenly ‘disappeared’ please let me know. I will be checking as carefully as possible as I make these alterations, but mistakes can happen! If you have any suggestions for the site (including colour schemes), please get in touch. Thank you
