‘BV’ would love to do a new competition each month, and I’d like to hear from anyone who would be willing to ‘sponsor’ a month. The minimum requirement from sponsoring a competition is to provide a prize! It’s up to you to decide if you want to be more involved in designing, running and/or judging the competition. The forum is starting to grow, with more members joining up and some really important subjects are being aired. To get things moving I decided to create a competition based on the forum.

To enter:

Simply write an article (or reply) on the Village Forum using 50 words or more!

Not yet a member of the Forum?

 

Judging will be done by three independent judges recruited from various parts of the village (I’ll let you know who later), so it won’t be me (or Sue) judging this one. Whether you choose to be serious or funny is up to you. 50 words or more qualifies each posting as a competition entry. The prize will be delivered personally, within 7 days of the winner being announced on the Forum

 

THERE IS ONLY ONE PRIZE OF THE COMPLETE SET

 

There have to be some rules, so here they are:

  • This competition is open to residents of Burbage (Wiltshire) and the immediate area only
  • Your posting must not be rude or offensive
  • Postings will be judged on content, not grammar or spellink (sorry, spelling)
  • Your posting must be at least 50 words long and be relevant to the spirit of the forum (i.e. A reply that relates to the topic, or a new topic that relates to the village)
  • You can post as many times as you like
  • Closing date is Thursday 31st July 2008 (midnight)
  • 3 Independent judges will be deciding the winners (Wanted - Judges! See bottom of page)
  • The winner will be announced on the forum, after verification
This really is a lovely collection of these Ferrari Classics! Shell petrol stations were giving these away free with every 30 litres of V-Power fuel purchased. That promotion has now ended and some sites have a few left which they are selling at around £1.99 each. The Website Editor collected the whole set and is giving them away (unopened!) as the competition prize
