Our football club is currently running as social football only. We play Tuesday evenings from 7.00 pm until approx 8.45pm at the Red Lion field, where we tend to play anything from five to eleven a-side depending on attendance. Anyone can turn up and play, regardless of age (under-18’s please seek parental permission first). It costs £1 each, which pays for the lighting.

Our tennis club has around 115 members, and we have 3 teams that play in the Swindon & District Tennis League. We also enter junior teams in the National Junior Club League (NJCL), and regularly run junior rankings tournaments.

Our players range from the ages of 4 to 80, and we have regular club sessions on Sundays where all of our members from teens to adults are welcome to turn up and play at our courts at the Red Lion field. We also run special match-play sessions for our junior members aged 8 upwards. There are also numerous social tournaments that take place every year, including the Club Summer Tournament.

Our club is affiliated to the LTA, and runs coaching courses for juniors and adults alike.

Cricket has been played in Burbage for over 100 years. Our Saturday teams play in the Wiltshire League, Divisions 1 and 4. We run two teams in the Midweek Savernake Evening League and one Sunday side. Out of season we also enter 3 teams in the Marlborough Indoor League.

In addition to the Adult teams we have a very active Junior section running teams at U9, U11, U13 and U15 levels. For U13’s there is an evening Coaching session every Monday evening from 14th April to 21st July.

Our home matches are played at the Red Lion field, along East Sands.

Did you know? Your local sports club has been running for over 20 years, providing the community of all ages with an opportunity to play some great sport, keep fit and have some fun! We also organize the September Beer Festival, our main fundraiser, which helps to improve and maintain the club’s facilities.
